before turning 21, i turned up looking huge in a chiffon studded top to a performace at Tepak Sireh with a stranger & a close friend whose new dye job was distracting. Donkey years ago, i probably didn't care about malay performing arts but yesterday's display was worth my 12 bucks. Pity about the lack of food, though. But hey, at least i was in good company :) on turning 21, Salam (stranger) wished me in advance by exchanging a couple of high fives before bidding goodbye. Elfi gave me the obligatory hug whilst mumbling 'Happy Birthday' without noticing it was a minute to 12. Hansli managed to be right on the dot though the tone could have been more chirpy. 21 as it is, was refreshing, unassuming & pleasant. I'm not about to worry myself with responsibilities just because ' i turned 21'. I am aware of what they are. But to get them done? Now that's different matter altogether. I have too many flaws, too many wants/needs, too many excess baggage & too little time & money. It's about time equilibrium is achieved.
after everything, i love you, hansli. Argh, that alone is giving me goosebumps but i'm not regretting. Thank you for the dinner. Wait, thank you to your family for that & erm, the kachings. HAHA.
After today, my skin has grown an inch thicker. Happy 21. Well, i'm indeed happy!
